Weekly Tasks
- Kitchen: wipe counters, backsplash and cabinet fronts; clean sink and faucet; wipe stovetop and microwave inside and out; empty trash.
- Bathrooms: clean toilets inside and out, tubs, showers and sinks; polish mirrors and fixtures; mop floors.
- Living areas and bedrooms: dust reachable surfaces, change linens, vacuum carpets and rugs, mop hard floors.
- Entry: shake out mats and sweep the porch; North Texas wind carries a lot of dust indoors.
Monthly Tasks
- Dust ceiling fans, blinds, baseboards and door frames.
- Clean inside the microwave, wipe the refrigerator exterior and handles.
- Descale shower heads and faucets; DFW municipal water is hard and leaves mineral spots.
- Vacuum upholstery and under cushions; wash pet beds.
- Replace HVAC air filters, especially during spring pollen and summer dust.
Seasonal Tasks
- Spring (pollen season): wipe window sills and tracks, wash screens, dust vents.
- Summer: clean patio doors and tracks, check for dust build-up on high ledges.
- Fall: clean inside the oven and range hood before holiday cooking.
- Winter: deep clean entry floors and grout after wet weather.
Move-In / Listing Checklist
- Inside all cabinets, drawers and closets.
- Inside the oven, refrigerator and dishwasher.
- Light switches, outlet covers, door handles and cabinet hardware.
- Baseboards, window sills and tracks.
- Garage floor swept and cobwebs removed.
